Minority Report could have been top tier Spielberg. It has a bulletproof script based on a Philip K. Dick story. The pacing is phenomenal and the there are mysteries after mysteries that are held mysterious just long enough to not be frustrating. There are those fun Spielberg touches like Tom Cruise crashing through a window and landing in a twisted position amongst a yoga class. The pope died and now it’s up to all the cardinals to decide who should be the grand wizard of the Catholic Church. It’s interesting for an outsider to watch all the pomp, circumstance and piece positioning and having acting powerhouses Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini keeps it all intriguing.

It’s still a buncha old men virtue signaling, power grabbing and sequestering themselves to make a decision without influence from those they are meant to be leading. That’s quite a message.

In Phantom of the Opera he installed wire work in his face in the form of a living skull. In this movie, The Penalty, he straps his feet to the back of his thighs to appear to be a double amputee.

Chaney was known for these physical transformations. As well he should;…
