Not sure if it's a homage, or blatant ripoff off Sam Raimi's style and the zanyness of the early Evil Dead films, but it was a blast. DIY effects featuring the most obvious claymation stunt double, stiff puppets, loose rubber masks, Lincoln Log miniatures, caked on makeup, bad acting, and plenty of cheesy gore effects. One of those Friday night grin at the absurdity of it kinda flicks. The 2nd half features an almost endless barrage of music. Both score, and a variety of punk, rock, and heavy metal. It grew tiresome.
Made in the mid 90's, but feels aggressively like 1989.
