Sam Levinson’s grandstanding through Malcolm and Marie’s characters is exasperating, However it is shot well and Zendaya and John definitely sell the characters and make the movie at least believable; Which is to say until Sam Levinson just started airing out the critiques of his past works completely transparently making the film unbearable to watch.
