Meh.
That is all.
A simple concept for a film, steal gold bullion and smuggle it out of the country.
I love the Ealing films of old, this one being close to my favourite one of the lot, beaten by The Ladykillers.
A classic.
Re-watched this yesterday on a journey back home.
I'd forgotten how good it was, for it's budget.
Not stuck in the usual trappings of a Hollywood film, it dispenses with the silver bullet theory of killing a werewolf. A coming of age story played out over 30 days and a race for Bridget to save her sister.
Have yet to see any of the sequels - although I tend to avoid sequels, of these type of films, as they rarely live up the original.
