    As a longtime Hunger Games enthusiast, I didn't enjoy this as much as I'd hoped. I did love the games and the latter part of the third act but that’s about it. Perhaps reading the book the minute it got out (embarrassingly through piracy) was a mistake.

    It has been a while since I last saw a full-length feature film. I'm glad I chose Kubrick to end my indolence. Barry Lyndon comes off as a rather typical biography elevated by its striking visual. Frankly, the cinematography and camerawork are both top-notch followed by the film's score. Kubrick's writing was great, although it is easily forgettable in this one.

    You can like a musical and appreciate its musicality by simultaneously recognizing its theme's issues. I still can't bring myself to hate this when it has given so many opportunities to POC actors. All of us have pretty much witnessed the domination of white actors in the industry, playing roles where race isn't even an issue, roles that should be open for everyone. For that single fact and for other outstanding ones, I applaud this so much.
