  It tells so much about Japenese culture and moreover, relationships (more particularly roles) about men and women, Miike highlights the fact that "dating" in the most common way is a weird concept where people play specific roles and must act in a certain way to achieve their goal. In my opinion, the film is feminist, it's super hard to explain without spoiling but the character…

  Christmas eve in LA

  Artistic direction is risky but super nice. The use of digital cameras with bad image quality (over exposure, image noise), saturated color grading and that very fast editing (no static shots, 95% handheld shots) are completely coherent with the story of the film. Plus, wide angle lenses get us closer to characters (actresses are very talented in this picture). It shows how it is a real struggle to live in a city like LA, but at the same time, The film is quite comical.
