This film is one of the greatest films I have seen this year.
Coralie Fargeat illustrates how men and the patriarchal society made monsters out of women by making them compete against each other. She uses MANY references (The Portrait of Dorian Gray, Carrie, Suspiria, the figure of the Witch…) and still makes it funny (or is it?)
Proud that a French Filmmaker made this film in France.

District 9 is a great sci-fi film about humanity and how Men are the worst. The film succeeds in both its intimate and epic aspects. However, it unfortunately fails to keep its plan to make a fake documentary only to film its characters in ways that wouldn't work if it were documentary-styled footage. Overall, the film remains really cool and entertaining as well as pretty scary at times and it is absolutely re-watchable. It will probably remain a great sci-fi reference for a long time and it is well-deserved.
