not sure if I'd call this movie "outstanding" or anything but it was definitely a commendable improvement over the sandy movie
spongebob in particular acted more like himself and didn't feel shoehorned into the plot like he did in the previous movie

Di Gi Charat: A Trip To The Planet 2001
like the rest of the wonderful di gi charat series, it's a short but sweet romp that's fun while it lasts
also usada fucking dies at one point (though she does get better)

Dr. Slump: Hoyoyo! Space Adventure 1982
the absolute PEAK of dr. slump movies to me. it's notably the only one of the bunch that's feature-length, and the movie takes advantage of that to deliver a funny and epic thrill ride with cool music and setpieces.
also love chaser is one of the best villain songs in media and I will die on this hill

this film is actually pretty decent for a first attempt, with a lot of the humour and charm that makes the series so enjoyable. the main problem with it is that it doesn't last any longer than a typical episode of the anime, so it feels like they just wanted an excuse to put an adaptation of a manga chapter on the big screen
