The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle 2000
Since live-action/animated adaptations of beloved cartoon characters don't always have the greatest reputation, my expectations for this movie were pretty low...and I think that's the best way to approach it. The movie manages to capture the spirit of the original television series pretty well, engaging in self-deprecating humor, bad puns, and social satire. This is the anime counterpart to The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, and I feel fans of one will really enjoy the other. Both are zany, comedic takes on classic sci-fi plots, and have some sentimentality mixed in!
