Does everyone remember when one of the great American films in the last 25 years came out, and we decided that the movie about eyes on rocks was more deserving of praise and awards? The Oscars are not the end all be all, they are far from it and more of a popularity contest (joke) at this point. Not giving Blanchett an Oscar though at the very least for a performance that we usually award men for constantly is fucking criminal.

Like staring at beauty for 2 hours. Caan is so perfect for the role I genuinely don’t know who else could be in this film. Prosky’s monologue is flat out fantastic.
