  not sure how much new it has to say about artistry or assimilation, but the story itself is compelling enough without needing to be entirely fresh. the scene on the mountainside with the marble is breathtaking. adrien brody is everything.

  i can’t think of anything more fitting than the extremely cerebral david byrne starting american utopia with a song pointing to specific regions of the brain

  he sings “don’t worry about the government” so much more melodious, less spiky, less freaked out, than the original

  the new material fits seemlessly in with the old, the culmination of things byrne has been thinking about through music for decades
