    Even though I will defend the first Michael Bay Transformers film until I die and Bumblebee is really solid too, Transformers One proves that the franchise just works better in animation.     Sadie Sink is awesome and the songs are actually pretty good, but unfortunately for a post-apocalyptic rock opera it's pretty boring. This is especially true when the film pivots to focus on a half-baked romance, which is a big bummer after the premise being interesting at the beginning. Still, it gets points for originality.
