I really liked almost everything about this movie, Wes Anderson might be one of the best in the biz for writing characters that actors can really chew on and showcase their skills.
But his symmetrical style of shooting just isn’t for me and it has really affected my enjoyment of his movies. There, I said it!
I was wondering what song Ferris would sing during the parade scene if this movie was made in 2025 that would be as universal known and authentic as twist and shout. Couldn’t really think of one. Maybe, Firework?
The Beatles and Ferris Bueller are timeless.
Spooky twist. The courtroom can get a tad cheesy, but that’s okay because the scenes are fun. Gere is great, and Ed Norton is paying some dues and allowed to really get into his character.
