Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
The movie had me in its first half, as it was truly laugh-out-loud funny, however the second section lost its magic as it felt too kiddy (in my personal opinion, although I reckon most of you will disagree). I want rom-com fluff, not primary school storylines — I didn’t want to join in on the Outward Bound excursion or sit through the corny Christmas show performance unfortunately. Sorry everyone!

Bottoms 2023
A fresh comedy that is so silly it almost feels as if it is set in an alternate universe. Everything about Bottoms is over the top, but it works. Somehow even bombs and gore manage to be a part of the joke.
I enjoyed the modern queer aspect of this movie too. For once, we are accustomed to some unashamed lesbian representation, and the characters are not portrayed as trauma-ridden societal martyrs for being gay!
