I thought this was so fabulous. It was so human and personable and emotional. So much mirth and then so vulnerable and outrageous and sad. I loved the colours of it. I teared up several times. Torres was amazing, what a brilliant characterisation. Made me want to go to Rio de Janeiro.  We were also up the front like the very front row and it didn’t take away from the movie one bit. The attention to detail was crazy as well like I wouldn’t have minded at all if the kids didn’t look like the kids but they did

This was just a bit silly but also stabbed at a lot of things that I think about all the time. The second Harris Dickinson flick of the weekend. He was clearly my valentine. Didn’t like how it looked and didn’t like a lot of the dialogue but I adored the concept so much. Would love to remake it and have it take itself a bit more seriously. Over all enjoyed, a bit stupid though.

Loved. This was absolutely sublime. That lil kid was so darn cute and the whole thing was a gag a minute.  Community is so important. We’ve lost community in so many ways. Some of the shots in this were so so artful.  Please please Palas don’t close shop even though you don’t hold a candle to the cinema paradiso.

I did really like this but ultimately underwhelmed I think. It didn’t redefine these musician biopics quote the way it said it would. I know the Oscars is all politics buts it’s fun to think about and I don’t think Timmy should win for this at all. I wasn’t at all convinced by this until the third act. Prior to this it felt so clippy. Too many good lines. I adored this microscopic third act though where all the tension building up beared fruit. What a climax. The performances throughout were stellar! Long live Bob  Dylan the ultimate contrarian.  Timothée Chalamet loves to play a prophet.
