Started off way too strong with Maggot Brain, and the twinkle in peoples eyes throughout were just cringe.

So fun to watch John Malkovich, but they just recycled a plot that’s been done badly before and made it bad again, attempted point of platforming bad people and bad ideas but it wasn’t even delved into it was just like a ‘big reveal’ that was square peg round hole. Also the violence was annoying Af.

The best part of this whole film was the puppet show, I would’ve watched a good hour of just those weird rat puppets and the ‘tragedy of Billie’ , that was class

Epic is all I can think. this is how my uncultured mind thinks anime/manga would translate to a western Marvel style film. It was so fun and yea slightly goofy and on the nose with all its themes and villains but so well placed in a film like this, it was so comic book superhero like and every shot felt like a drawn sketch from a comic book.

So good, like everything I want in a Halloween cheesy 80’s American horror flick, stayed quick paced, just so unfortunate that the style is now so comical with modern cgi, very fun laugh fun movie. Love how Freddie was like ‘it’s me Freddie’ like dude you’re a local serial killer not a pop star, big shout out that increasingly large bottle of what ever the duck.

Much like watching ‘the breakfast club’ after the victorious version of it, I was watching this whole film thinking about every scary movie and 80’s spoofs I’ve ever watched
