  Don't really get the hype on this one. Seems like:
  • A movie about sex work by someone who has no real interest in it – aside from showing naked bodies.
  • A movie about class relations by someone who can't do class analysis.
  • A movie about a female character by someone who has no interest in that character.

  All Quiet on the Western Front 2022

  War bad.

  Would have been better if they included Paul's experience of alienation during his leave at home. Seems a strange choice not to adapt that from the book and instead waste time with the armistice negotiations. The book is right there folks just be faithful to it.
