An amazingly made movie that is pretty problematic. Idk man, I'm sick of Stockholm Syndrome being treated like it's so common, like no, women do not like being kidnapped. But holy shit, the music and cinematography are so damn good, as well as the acting. Kind of balances out the shitty message, you know?

Can you tell I just looked up the term "St. Patrick's Day" on Letterboxd out of curiosity. Whatever, happy birthday to me I guess

Need me a girl like Lisa in my life.

Pretty good stuff right here. Slightly overrated, but a thrill nonetheless. The apartment scene when Thorwald was heading up to Jeff's apartment was peak cinema honestly. And the lighting? Omg so good all through out the movie. There is a sense of life in this movie, how everyone goes about things privately and you don't really know anybody behind closed doors. Great way to show that message.

Sucks that it had to take almost an hour to get really interesting, but past that? Fucking amazing

    That damn sauce...

My first Bong Joon Ho movie (somehow have not seen Parasite, pls don't kill me). Pretty goofy movie for the most part, genuinely funny as well. The visuals were stunning, the acting was pretty good, I do have one issue though that sort of plagues this movie a bit, it is so unsubtle. This is a clear commentary on our political landscape and current-day capitalism done in a decently well way, just wish it had some subtlety…
