  I went into this really wanting to like it considering it has been on my watchlist for a while, features two actors I like, and looks so intriguing. Unfortunately it just didn't click with me. It looks absolutely stunning, but that was the only thing I liked, the visuals. I will definitely give this a re-watch in the near future as I want to give it another chance to pull me in.

  Having not watched this in the ten years since it's cinema release (16 year old me did not enjoy that experience), I can safely say this film still grips your heart, pulls it out from your body, and stamps on it as much as the first time round.

  Most of the cast give an excellent performance, with the notable exception of Brad Pitt, and when realising he had a part in the production of the film you realise why he gave himself that role, though that doesn't explain why his performance was so terrible.

  Definitely has a slow build up at the start but if you stick to it you won't regret it. The hide and seek scene, though not that long, was captivating and solidified this film into my favourites.
