Nope 2022
The last half an hour made up for a lot of lacklustre in the beginning. Feel like it could’ve been more terrifying if the scenes of the monkey were explained- the 3 minutes of Jupe hiding under the table were more chilling than anything concerning the ‘monster.’ Still not sure what the film was about/ the underlying social commentary- assuming there even is one. It’s so different to Get Out that perhaps I’m a bit more perplexed as to what the whole point of the movie was. The ending was gorgeous, Emerald on the motorbike and the sunset clouds made it for me.
