in the synopsis, Electra is described as the 'unstable' one in the film, with brief references to her upbringing and parents. to me, though, it actually seemed like Murphy is the one who doesn’t quite have it all together mentally and overwhelms or influences Electra with his negativity. Murphy's past remains a mystery, which I found myself really curious about. I think this film is also labeled as a kind of porn, which I don’t agree with. it features beautiful shots and captivating performances by the actors.

so visually stunning that I wanted to capture a still from every scene. it wasn’t until the film was over that I realized how the various themes and scenes all actually connected to the larger theme of loneliness. memorable scenes with conversations about taking care and worrying about your loved ones.
