It's a good laugh, and the performances are well executed. I especially loved the broken nature of all the tech that made it feel like the future was slowly falling apart. However most of the characters are quite one note and the plot is pretty meandering, which holds it back from being great in my eyes.

So much to enjoy here: deep performances by the cast and powerful visuals help authentically delivery Herbert's vision with some excellent adaptation. Specifically impactful was the decision to change Chani into a sceptic of the prophecy and show her helping Paul learn the ways of the desert. This helps make Paul more human and believable, while also underlining the darkness of his eventual ascension to prophet.
