Cute! So touching. Loved the end where they have their own new lives. Love the temptation that maybe they should drop everything for the past chance... But intentionally giving those dreams up to live on the now? Hard.
Is it just me or Adarsh really has the face for the backstabbing jerk role?
Hillarious move, lots of laughing scenes, and very very heartfelt last arch around the superman picture.
I'm not too familiar with the real story under the hood, but it did seem like it lost a lot of the nuance of real life where many loose ends aren't tied and there's vast unexplained differences between characters personalities.
Loved Fernanda's (Eunice) acting throughout, while she's doing her best as a mother that clearly does not have everything under control but it must keep sane and working for her children and their future.
Even though this is a localized story of a single family, it feels like it speaks for a nation of broken families.
While the dictatorship didn't leave a long lasting impact on my immediate family, it's hard not to appreciate this movie in a personal level.
