A Touch of Genius!
Polar opposites in opposition, the radical shifts of the narrative and it’s elasticity, going from the bomb and elevating to such extreme heights with how pride and reputation seal into the crevices!
it’s quite remarkable how Welles uses dialogue almost as a bruise that is constantly swelling, the conversations and dialogue are constantly undercutting and overwhelming one another, love the obtuseness of it all, and that ending?!
Adiós!

Good Will Hunting 1997
heavy hitter!
ending scene was absolutely perfect!
loved the yin yang dynamic between the two father figures both invested for different reasons, what struck me the most was Ben Afleck’s speech pierced everything, another moment that really stuck with me was the complete deconstruction of Matt Damon’s character by Robin Williams sliced and diced him like it was nothing!
I feel like this film would do really well as double feature with The Social Network for very different reasons but this humanism within film is fantastic and the recurring motive of leaving and saying nothing *chefs kiss!*

The Brutalist 2024
I loved how you can tell both of them actually wrote this film, second part near the end is so Shakespearian to me it’s actually crazy
Body itself is represented a lot as an architectural structure in itself, Harrison’s character reminded me a lot of Howard Hughes unsure exactly why, the journey was more important than the destination
Need a girlfriend to do opium with ASAP!
