I think out of all of the local CNY movies, this is the one that made me laugh out loud. It is funny yet moving at the same time, a commendable first directional debut.
The story flows well and dialogues feel natural except the scene when two adult child had a hearfelt moment with the dad. The back to back confession by the children felt a bit forced, particularly the brother's character. Some product placement can also be a little on the nose. The best comedic moment is meeting with obgyn doctor. Overall, I do think it is still a solid film.
