Pink Flamingos 1972
First time I saw this movie was in Budapest 1990. The country had just befreed itself from socialism and what a way to celebrate it: a John Waters retrospective in one of its oldest art house cinemas. It was great to rewatch a renovated copy 34 years later and see how the world around it has changed. I remembered surprisingly many of the brilliant oneliners on this one.
I love John Waters so much, he is the queer grandfather we all queer people need. And Divine is The Queen.

Pamela, A Love Story 2023
Oooh I’ve always loved Pammy. This documentary lets us hear her side of things. Pamela got punished so hard for doing what she was expected to do, being the most perfect and sexiest straight woman that ever existed. You really can’t win. The 90s was an incredibly sexist and misogynist decade. Finally we are getting some resurrection.
