this was weird to watch a black person. it was even weirder to enjoy. i got the sense that it was satirical towards the confederate mindset, although this movie didn't really do enough to completely squander the pro-confederacy ideal. also the rape scene... very questionable. but I don't get mad at old movies for being fucked up. i couldn't help but relate to scarlett and enjoy her arc. also the costumes were some of my favorite things ever. it is weird. this is weird. idk, i need to reconcile some things i guess.
