Finding Dory 2016
Finding Dory is equal parts hilarious and heart-wrenching. Pixar uses its magical formula to force laughs, cries, shouts, and exclaims from its audience. While similar to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory stands on its own as a quest of self discovery disguised as a quest for familial completion and reunion. A wonderful film that will stay close to your heart for a very long time.

The Shallows 2016
While Blake Lively holds her own and is to be admired for her preparation for and acting in the film, the story falls deep below the waves, drowning in waves of dull, repetitive scenes that lack in emotion and intensity. The Shallows had the potential to rival 127 Hours, but brought forth only a mediocre plot and stunning tropical visuals.
