    Just about the most sincere, nuanced, and unapologetically honest depiction of love at its best and worst. Rarely do films attempt to show love at all stages of life, and Moonstruck sets the bar for doing so with unconditional empathy to its wonderful and fallible characters throughout.

    Considering that I don’t fully grasp the full meaning or biblical allegory that concludes The Wailing, this film left me battered, demanding every last drop of hope I had for its characters as they fought against an evil they never fully understood. For its utterly shattering emotional devastation, it’s an unquestionable 5-star film.
