  The ending shot from above really tanked Count Orlok’s aura. Overall a very unsettling watch for sure but also too freaky for me. The cinematography and set design carried. Bill Skarsgard was also unrecognizable and very imposing as Count Orlok.

  Finally another good Marvel movie in what has been a mostly dead period for a couple years. While there were really cool cameos, the movie did not use them as the only way to keep the audience engaged. The movie, like every Deadpool movie, is very funny. I don’t think anyone other than Ryan Reynolds can ever play Deadpool.

  I think that I let myself get too hyped up for this film. I also think, however, that the marketing for this movie kind of shot the movie in the foot. Comparing it to a movie like Silence of the Lambs and labeling it as one of the scariest movies in recent years sets the bar very high, a bar which was not met for me. I will say that it is a very tense watch and Nicholas Cage’s character is very unsettling. It reminds me a lot of films like it follows and Silence of the Lambs, but it is not as good as them.
