I thought I'd enjoy this as much as everyone else, especially with the main protagonist/artist being a cgi monkey and all. It ended up just feeling average to me unfortunately. A lot of creative and well shot musical sequences for sure, but it feels like there's only so much you can do with the structure and tropes within the music biopic genre.
