Incredible looking film, was so much funnier than I ever thought it was gonna be. Made me think of Kurosawa’s Ran more than once.

Very rewarding second watch. The film changes completely, especially that first act. It feels like Christian has a bomb strapped to his chest the whole time. My heart was beating out of my chest when it finally went off. That dream sequence is still unbelievable. “It was all you were good for” has to be one of the most spine chilling lines in a film ever.

A triumph of cinema that is rivaled by very, very few. The Tree of Life is a religious experience. There is absolutely nothing I could say about this film that could explain it. Not a single moment feels utilitarian, everything is working from an emotional sense, it’s the only way we can comprehend something like this. This is a work of biblical importance, watch it with care. Feels like the most important thing ever, and it might just be.
“That’s where God lives!”
The infinitely small are just as vast as the infinitely large. The most beautiful film ever made.
Holy fucking shit, Gyani fucking murdered it with this one, that was outstanding! Everything looks incredible in this, I love the colors! My jaw was on the floor the whole time, I can’t believe a college student made this.
