  Maybe if you didn’t see Bram Stoker’s Dracula, this movie would have landed better for me?  It was a little darker I guess?  But the story and flow is more or less identical, which made the overall experience a little boring.  I knew what was coming from scene to scene, so it just felt like trying to get through to the end.  It wasn’t bad, I just don’t think that it really needs to exist.

  I possess almost no knowledge of Wizard of Oz lore, so I didn’t bring any of that to the table.  Overall, a really good movie and I enjoyed it.  Despite the child sitting next to us with a sugar-laced feedbag strapped and no inside voice.

  Didn’t see the first one.  Don’t feel like that presented any issues.  Not a complicated concept to understand.  Smiling and happiness leads to insanity, got it.  Surprised that I didn’t hate it given the prolific use of cheap jump scares.
