Alana Haim's performance alone gives this movie two stars. One star is for the setting. If you're a Valley kid, you will appreciate Paul Thomas Anderson's cinematography of the SFV during the 70's. A heart-warming Disney Channel Original Movie for the Hanukkah season!
Honestly, it's a 3/5 film at best. But as one of the few Jewish movies I remember watching growing up, it does a respectable job at conveying the story of Hanukkah with a fun basketball movie to go along with it.
