The first "non Twin Peaks" Lynch film I watched and it blew me away. First things first, this movie is not for everyone. Not in a pretentious "you wouldn't get it" kind of way, but it's a much more visual and experimental movie than most. A fun little comedy movie that is a product of its time. Tom Hanks ignores logic and morals in his breakout role to have a nice little feel good movie. It didn't have me crying from laughter or anything but it has its moments. However the main thing I'll remember from this movie is how it glosses over the sexual relationship between a man with the literal mind of a 13 year old and a grown adult woman.
