Digimon Adventure tri. Part 4: Loss 2017
This was the closest to the tv show but there were some serious problems.
Number 1: they made Genni the bad guy which makes no sense.
Number 2: they made Genni lick a high school girl’s face. There were some serious rapey vibes. I know the target audience is the original show’s now adult audience but this was way too far. Luckily my boys only wanted to see the Digimon, but I looked over to my wife and she was seriously uncomfortable.
Number 3: see reviews for previous movies because this still has some of the same problems.

Alien 1979
Two words: sound design. I think this movie would have been great even without it’s amazing sound design. The clear attention to detail that was given to the film down to the corporate design of the ship interior is perfectly atmospheric. This was a work of love that all knew would be a hit but everyone kept dragging their feet to actually complete it. A clear Matt McMuscles “Wha’ Happun” moment.
