  What a bizarre hybrid of a film! A sexploitation effort on the surface, but sculpted with all the formal and dramaturgical elements of a 50´s melodrama.
  From the lush, Technicolor-like cinematography to the actor´s faces and makeup (so classically elegant), not forgetting the constant operatic score, everything helps to build this strange anachronistic exercise.
  It´s as if Douglas Sirk could go softcore as he pleased.
