  intriguing, tightly written and disturbing tale that does a phenomenal job of making me, along with the main character, question what truly is real and what is just an illusion. I wish it had more instances of drawn-out, gripping tension and suspense. The ending is truly all over the place but I still overall liked it. I wish there was more of a leaning toward giving that aha moment for the audience, though. I think a second watch would be best to pick up on all these nuances.

  I love the animation and the story is just beautiful. I found it really relatable and understandable, plus its hard not to root for the romance between Shizuku and Seiji, it's just so sweet as they grow and mature together. This will always be an inspiring comfort movie that I'll watch over and over in the future.
