  I'm gonna tell on myself here but I don't get it. Great acting and beautifully shot at times, but I don't know what happened or what the film has to say and beinga arty and ambiguous is a combo I just can't grok.

  A well-constructed but simple time travel movie that exploits the mundane setting really effectively. It doesn't linger on the science aspect but instead focuses on the little details you don't often think about with a time loop situation.

  You think you have the movie figured out until the third act twist and then get to really appreciate how tightly plotted it was.

  It's...fine. Has some great lines. I don't get anything approaching a cohesive whole out of this, it feels shy of a complete thought.

  Someone pointed out it's noir by way of stoner humor, and even then I feel like we're still 20% short of a satisfying movie.

  I'm clearly missing something, but I missed it in my teens and missed it 20+ years later and I ain't got time to find it.

  As far as mid-90s movies that heavily feature bowling go, Kingpin was vastly superior.
