  'One of the films of all time'
  Certainly a corporate accumulation of signifiers the average viewer associates with Indiana Jones peppered by the occasional moment of Harrison Ford trying to treat this like a real film. A 2.5 hour video game cutscene to sell more Indiana Jones products. Not nearly as bad as The Force Awakens or Rise of Skywalker, but approaching that.   Killer performances from Paul Newman, Tom Cruise and Forest Whitaker - fantastic editing from Thelma Schoonmaker and some snappy dialogue make this an enjoyable watch regardless of whether you've seen The Hustlers or not.

  1.5 hr mario brand commercial ... at least it doesnt overstay its welcome too much? Sorry but I'll take coked out Dennis Hopper any day of the week, at least they TRIED to make a film (albeit a terrible one, it's still closer to anything that could be called a 'film'). When more time and effort is spent on jam packing every background with 'Easter eggs' and 'references' instead of foundational storytelling, you know something has gone seriously wrong.
