I'm pleasantly surprised how much I like the new Orlok. While the Shreck and Kinski portrayals have this ghastly in-human quality to them I really enjoy the possessed, decrepit human qualities of Skarsgard's portrayal. It's that of a rotted Prussian lord akin to an Ivan the Terrible esque figure. The change added a new type of horror to an already iconic character.
