Dune 2021
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Aftersun 2022
Such a heart wrenching and authentic look at parenthood, depression and growing up. When we’re young, we are so Eager for maturity and respect that we don’t fully appreciate our youth. Then, when we do finally grow up, we realize there is nothing we want more than to go back to our childhoods and be kids again. To live carelessly and free as we once did. It all goes so fast. A devastating but unique part of the human experience that I feel never gets talked about and this film captures it flawlessly. I think I have to go give my parents a hug now.

A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it'll shine out…

“…I wish none of this had happened.”
“So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

Alien 1979
Have not watched this movie in well over 15 years. It genuinely scarred me as a wee lad. Now, at a ripe age of 24, I finally put on my big boy pants and revisited the Sci-fi horror classic that caused me an endless amount of sleepless nights.
Watching it back after so many years, there is nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said. Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979), is a genuine masterpiece in every aspect of horror filmmaking. Truly…
