I expected a modified five-act flick and instead got a pretty well-paced mystery with some fun flurries of kitschy kung fu dressed up in iconic imagery and brilliant coloring throughout (whatever preservation/restoration touched this thing is fantastic).

Loki sits snugly at the top of the list of Marvel series for me, comfortably catering to my taste for retro-futuristic fantasies full of intriguing ideas and compelling characters. It takes its time with some of that, but there's always a payoff, an interesting left turn, or a tie-in to the universe at large, but in a way that left me satisfied and wanting more at the same time?
