  I love this movie so much.

  The idea of dropping the audience in the middle of a modern American civil war, without much context in the scope of journalism is brilliant. Showing us this environment in a vacuum prevents us from justifying any of the actions done in the war and allows us to recognize it as senseless and ridiculous, which is what I think Alex Garland is trying to say about war in general.
