  Oh man, does this scream 2008. This film is a decade or two too late and I’m worried the Russo bros have an addiction with using elements from The Avengers films.

  Using songs everyone has heard at least a dozen times already, including music used in The Avengers films, and what a waste of a-list and audience drawing actors to throw this on a streaming service instead of releasing to theaters. Especially considering this is the biggest budget of all time and it says nothing while being over 30 mins too long.

  This is a C+ attempt by DC and that alone makes it one of their best in the last decade. The fan service and performances is enough to make this an enjoyable ride worth the ticket stub.

  A slow burning original story with great use of practical effects and an oh so sweet cold element to it that just ticks every box of an 80s horror film.

  Seeing the cult-like admiration this movie gets from film buffs maybe makes me appreciate the film more, but can’t argue Carpenter cemented himself a classic with ‘The Thing’
