    The Bob's Burgers Movie

Overall pretty mid with a few bright spots. Feels more like a multipart episode strung into a movie, and not a particularly good multiparter at that.

Bob's Burgers is probably the best animated sitcom bar Ducktales (2017) in the last decade and a bit, and this movie feels pretty underwhelming. It doesn't really feel particularly worthwhile bringing these beloved characters to the big screen for this story, and also isn't really a celebration of the series. The latter of which…

Rushed slop. Uninteresting as both a movie and as an entry into the Star Trek mythos. Completely fumbles the message and beyond that is all over the place. This is Star Trek does Suicide Squad (2016), and that's not all that hyperbolic of a statement either.

Mikey Madison is absolutely phenomenal as the lead Ani. This was a really demanding role and on screen it looks like she gave nothing…

This movie grabs your hand at the start with an iron grip and refuses to let go until the credits roll. Whilst I did turn away at times briefly, I also couldn't help but keep turning back. A lot of standard horror tends to lose me, it's a genre that doesn't always work for me, but standard horror this ain't. I was captivated for the majority of the run time.

Writer, director AND co-editor Coralie Fargeat has a very particular…
