Saltburn 2023
This movie was pretty good, although the twist in the end was very expected for me. I’ve heard from others that the twist caught them off guard but it was a little bit obvious from the get go. The movie for me mostly relies on its disturbing aspects and its cinematography, which by no means, is actually great. Although the movie can be slow at times, it was still an interesting watch, but not something I would watch again.

Top Gun: Maverick 2022
Great movie, has some nostalgic value to it, but doesn’t rely too much on it like what other films do when they make a sequel after a long time. The story and characters can carry themselves as a standalone film, but if I’m being honest, you would need context from the previous films to 100% enjoy this film. Overall, this film was very entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat for majority of it.

Maybe I’m biased because I had a high expectation for this movie, but it just didn’t seem to hit for me. The movie felt a little bit back and forth for me from start to finish. The characters were great, but that’s about it. Couldn’t help but feel it was a little bit too cheesy as well. Overall the movie would make a good watch, but I would not set aside time just for this movie.
