  Toughest part of a film is sticking the landing and Civil War failed to clear that hurdle. The third act is a mess which pains me to say because I've loved Alex Garland's previous work.

  Positives:
  All the main character actors deliver strong performances. The world this movie created is believable and really drew me in.

  Not the worst way to spend 90ish minutes, but it could have been so much more.

  Has moments that are funny, but the script is the downfall. Loaded cast does their best with the material, but so many groany one liners. You can't stretch the writing style of an episode of Seinfeld into 90 minutes. Most of the movie is more weird than funny.

  My favorite summer action blockbuster of all time. Corny one liners and plot holes abound, but the charm and fun of Independence Day can't be denied. For a movie closing in on 3 decades old, the special effects have aged surprisingly well. Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith are who make this movie special. The cast overall is loaded. Fantastic score. This movie makes me smile from start to finish. Lastly, this movie features the greatest fictional presidential speech in movie history. We will not go quietly into the night.

  A very goofy movie with plenty of that signature low brow Farrelly brothers comedy. Bill Murphy plays one of the greatest movie villains of all time.
