    Just utterly standard, the endgame of A24 in house style. Ayo Edibiri and Malkovich can’t save this. Will say, the beanbag scene was really frightening and DLZ as the credit song was great. Never expected to hear TV on the Radio in a theater.

    Love how indulgent and self mythologizing the movie is. It’s basically a rap song in itself, fully confident, creation of a tale against the system, a campfire story that’s exaggerated to deliver the point. So excited to see them in concert in October

    Best of 2025 so far, easily. The sound design felt so tactile I wanted there to be even more scanning and typing on keyboard and gunshots. The plucky score also sounded so great, especially in the Dolby Theater. Sexy spy thriller packed to the gills with intrigue, backstabbing, and a couple that truly gets each other. Tightest 90 ever, more movies need this level of restraint without cutting any of the juice.

    Really fun watch in theaters but ultimately forgettable, outside of Pattinson’s work with his physicality really being the star (the voices were fun but kinda hit or miss, and much less charming when featured as a narrator). The comedy works in blushes for the first 70% of the movie, and the action helps bridge the gap in the finals breaths when you bore of what the Ruffalo character has to offer. I do unfortunately find some weakness in the exploration…
