Unbelievable, and one of the true crowning achievements in the medium of film. An unparalleled work of art, it took me a long time to sit down and watch this but I am so happy that I finally did.

Possibly my favorite Cronenberg I’ve seen thus far. Jeremy Irons is absolutely superb as the Mantle twins, what a haunting depiction of the debilitating effects of codependency, personal addiction, doctoral power and narcissism, and so much more. This film is permeated with enthralling dialogue and incredible performances upon a subdued and quietly anxious environment, what a devastatingly powerful work.
